The System
The Peel & Stick Sealing System Neo is a practical solution for a quick and easy waterproofing of bathrooms and internal wet rooms. No additional adhesive is required for the installation of this sealing system. Due to the self-adhesive coating on the back side, the components can be easily applied to the substrate by peeling off the release paper. After the waterproofing is installed, tiling can be started directly on top of the non-woven surface.

INSTALLATION

Prepare substrate
Before installation, ensure that there is no negative pressure from the substrate caused by moisture. Before laying the membranes and system components, the substrate must be dry, solid, stable, and free of dust, oil, grease, and other substances. The substrate should be even and sufficiently smooth. If necessary, use an appropriate primer.

Install accessories
First, install the accessories of the waterproofing system, such as corners, sealing tapes, and flexi collars. Ensure a bubble-free bonding and maintain overlaps of at least 5 cm.

Note: Skirting Tape
The skirting tape should be applied at transitions where no waterproofing of a wall section is required. The skirting tape is installed as part of the installation of the accessories (see also installation step 2), and the sealing membrane is then applied on top of the non-woven-free area of the skirting tape.

Install membrane
Remove the segmented release foil step by step and position the sealing membrane on the substrate. Apply the membranes free of folds and air bubbles. Additional membranes can be overlapped on top of the non-woven-free edges or they can be butt-joined in accordance with the system specifications

Note: Closure Tape
The closure tape should be applied at transitions where no waterproofing of a wall section is required. The closure tape is applied on top of the non-woven-free area of the sealing membrane and must be aligned to the wall section where no waterproofing is required.

Rework
Upon completion, the entire waterproofing system must be rolled over thoroughly and firmly across the entire surface using a pressure roller. All overlap areas in corners, as well as the joints between membranes, sealing tapes, and other accessories, must be additionally sealed with a suitable MS polymer. This reliably seals any remaining cavaties and capillary spaces.

Install floor covering
Then inspect the waterproofing for damage or defects and make any necessary repairs. The completed waterproofing must be covered with the intended top layer within 5 days.
